50°N In autumn large numbers of Starlings begin to arrive from Europe mostly in October and November, sometimes in late September. Vast numbers can be seen flying along the Norfolk coast in a westerly direction. These originate from Fennoscandia, the Baltic States, Germany, Russia and The Netherlands.
